What I’ve been up to.
Been a bit quiet here lately! The last week I’ve had practice exams at school. All stuffed into the first 3 days so no time to study much. Anyway that’s all done now.
Last week finally finished a little project with my brother, a small electric power paddlewheel boat, for in the pool. Great fun! Will post some more on it later.
Other than that I’m still working on my fibreglass boat project, and also on my windsurfer. It’s got a homemade rig made from bamboo and an old laser sail. And it works.

Holiday, the final post.
Well I’ve been back for a week now, and here’s what I did the last week and a half of our holiday to the land where Dutch people come from.
- moved into holiday park (tiny little house)(no I mean really small).
- visited family
- went to my grandparents 50th anniversary, which is the main reason we went on holiday. Helped decorate the place, saw lots and lots and lots of family.
- visited more family
- went to Amsterdam; walked around for ages, saw lots of interesting things…
- moved out of our little holiday park and
- stayed 2 nights at family. Went to the Efteling, which is a really cool theme park.
- went back to Terneuzen, grandparents.
- had another family dinner get-together, with my dad’s side of the family (alot less people)
- chilled out
- went back to NZ. When we arrived it was 4 degrees, cold. Takes some getting used to.
Well that’s it in a quick summary.

Holiday
Today went to another museum, was kool, then went to look in some vilage, got some “Dutch weather” and got soaked. Oh well.
We’re moving base to a holiday park type place tomorrow so I might not have internet. Beware

Holiday, day 8
Today it’s saturday the 6th, 8.30pm. The computer still thinks I’m in NZ you see, do it does the dates wrong. Anyway, today we just stayed in town. Chilled out all morning with a book, it’s saturday so I watch all the sailing boats that pass through binoculars. Something funny happened, my mum locked the door to our bedroom, from the inside, because she wanted to read in peace and quiet. But it was the wrong key. And the door couldn’t be unlocked. Oh oh… We just used the window to get in and out, problem is, we’re six high, and the balcony there is only like 60cm wide, exciting. I fixed it later that night though, with a different key. (And after other people including the neighbours worked on it for like 2 hours).
After luch I wanted to try out the new wheels on my skates. Went for a skate on the dike, but it was very windy. Started into the wind and went for like 5 minutes, then I turned around to go back. I had a genious plan. I unzipped my… jersey/jacket thing, held it open batman style, and let the wind push me all the way back. Only had to stand there, it was awesome, went pretty fast for some bits. AWESOME!!! Of course then I had to skate back…
…where there were visitors, another cousin (He’s a rapper too, look for BDM Entertainment on Youtube), and his mother. Talked for a bit, then had the lock incident fixed.
And now I have to go watch a soccer game, the Netherlands are playing Iceland, yay. My little brothers are all dressed in orange. I’m wearing my beanie though… picture coming soon.

Holiday, part 4
Went to the city centre for shopping, yuck. Already have a beanie so I’m good. Anyway it’s like a 20minute walk over the dike, and then we shopped around. And got Ice cream.
Later we drove to het Zwin, which is a beach where you’re supposed to be able to find shark teeth. I did find 3 the last time we were here, but this time, none. The only one that got one was my mum, and it’s a really big one too.
